Matt grew up in Maine, spent ten years playing video games for a living and then moved to Washington State. During his time in video games, Matt did quality assurance testing for games like Lord of the Rings online and World of Warcraft. Now he plays video games for fun and makes his living looking for ways to break and improve websites at SiteCrafting.
Matt views the purpose of his job as being able to think outside the box and creatively approach things from as many angles as possible. The first person he thinks about when he tests a website is his mom, who tends to double click on everything. He finds fulfillment in knowing that he finds and fixes problems that other people might have otherwise encountered and been negatively impacted by.
Matt is a home chef who enjoys reading and owns every board game you could possibly imagine. His culinary heroes are J. Kenji López-Alt and Andrew Rea.
