Chuck Johnston

Director of Research

The goal is to make life easier for people

As the Director of Research and leader for our in-house research lab (fun fact: the only research lab in the South Puget Sound), Chuck does everything from user research to wireframes and usability testing. He has a Master of Science in Human Centered Design and Engineering as well as a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy and a Bachelor of Arts in History.  Before joining the SiteCrafting team in 2013, he held positions in product management, marketing and sales. He is also a professor of computing ethics at the University of Washington, Tacoma.

One might say he is a Chuck of all trades.

Chuck is in the business of making technology work for people. In his own words, his job is to help users efficiently accomplish whatever they need to do online so they can live their lives offline. The work his team does makes it easier for people to find doctors, file insurance claims and compare auto loan rates.

Chuck is a father of three, a runner of Tacoma side streets and a Pennsylvania transplant.
