Sitting in Yavin IV (the office, not the moon), the marketing team was hard at work discussing and designing what the SiteCrafting Podcast would look like. We had rehearsed, we knew who to invite, we had ordered a backdrop (though said backdrop ended up having manosphere vibes so it got axed). Through and through, we were set. This podcast was a go. But what would we call it…
Tiffany: EHM.
Big Stories in Small Spaces.
Jen: No, that doesn’t feel right for this.
Grit City, Grittier Takes.
Charlotte: C’mon, how true is that?
—
Nothing was quite right or even remotely close to right for that matter.
Then from the deepest corners of our mind came the idea…
—
Jen: What if we call it The SiteCrafting podcast
… A podcast by SiteCrafting.
Tiffany: Yeah, but it’s not about SiteCrafting; it’s about community.
Jen: Absolutely, tack that on at the end as well.
—
And there we had it.
The SiteCrafting Podcast: A Podcast By SiteCrafting (But It’s Not About SiteCrafting, It’s About Community)
No lies were told. It’s real. It’s bold. It’s SiteCrafting.
We had a name for our show. We could start recording.
It’s About Community
It isn’t just in the name but in the game. Our guests are those who advocate tirelessly for their communities, whether it be through educating and mentoring youth, like Dr. Kimberley Keith with Hilltop Artists or uplifting the voices in the small but mighty town of Wilkeson, like Jayme Peloli. Our initial rollout consists of six episodes following six different leaders.
With a variety of podcast lengths, you can select the right episode for your commute, jog or whatever activities you may be up to. The streaming process is flexible. Our webpage provides a one-stop shop to the major streaming platforms you prefer (Spotify, Apple Podcasts, Youtube). If we’re missing your favorite streaming platform, let us know and we’ll be on it.
This Podcast is Brought to You By: Endless Cups of Coffee
The main consistency in The SiteCrafting Podcast is our lovely host Jen Rittenhouse.
If you don’t know Jen, you want to know her. She is the perfect choice for a community-driven podcast. Jen has considered Tacoma her community for more than 20 years. Her imprint is evident in the relationships that span that tenure and have turned into genuine friendships.
We knew The SiteCrafting Podcast needed a soul and a soul that embodies the way we do business in Tacoma. For us, business means trust, collaboration and partnership. All of these things are synonymous with our host and guests.
When Tiffany and I aren’t running an espresso (one teaspoon of sugar, splash of oat milk), a glass of water or luxury goods to Jen’s star trailer (aka the Naboo conference room), we’re heads down hard at work. We’re reviewing clips and curating an atmosphere that makes each episode authentically SiteCrafting.
Being a community-driven podcast means prioritizing transparency. That’s why each episode wraps up with a post-pod debrief with the crew behind the scenes. As invested audience members ourselves, you can count on a fresh perspective to bring us home.
We’re thrilled to be trying something new and telling stories around Tacoma. Happy listening. And if you’re interested in sharing your story with our audience, let us know. We’d love to have you—it’s about community, after all.
