Kitsap Bank and SiteCrafting: A Longstanding Partnership Supporting Community and Digital Growth
Since opening their doors in 1908 as a small, locally owned bank, Kitsap Bank has stayed true to its roots: putting people first, giving back generously, and making decisions with the long-term health of the region in mind. Today, that commitment shows up just as clearly online as it does at each branch.
For nearly 15 years, Kitsap Bank has partnered with SiteCrafting to build and maintain a digital presence that reflects those values. It’s a partnership built on trust, collaboration, and a shared vision for community banking in the digital age.
“We’ve had a longstanding relationship with SiteCrafting. We’ve built a lot of websites together, including microsites for our annual report,” said Janet Silcott, Senior Vice President, Marketing Director at Kitsap Bank. “During the pandemic, we called on SiteCrafting to help with online scheduling for appointments when branches were closed. They immediately helped us stand up scheduling for video appointments and supported the PPP program, which was instrumental in helping businesses stay open.”
Silcott shared that the continuity of the relationship has been a major benefit.
“It’s definitely helped us carry out our brand on the digital platform. We like to let our clients bank the way they want, whether online or in person, and SiteCrafting has helped us stay relevant and meet our customers where they are.”
The collaboration hit a high note in 2018 with a major website rebuild that aligned with the bank’s 110-year anniversary and company-wide rebrand. More recently in 2025, the team completed a refresh that proved the smallest tweaks can have the biggest impact. Amber Burton, Marketing Officer for Kitsap Bank noted.
“It wasn’t a big redesign, but it was just enough to give our clients a new look and feel and a better user experience. SiteCrafting guided us on best practices and helped with the transition.”
As part of the refresh, SiteCrafting performed an ADA audit to ensure the website works well for everyone, including older clients and people with disabilities. Silcott emphasized that this goes beyond compliance.
“It’s not just about regulatory compliance. We want to make information easy to consume for everyone. SiteCrafting’s expertise ensures our site is beautiful, intuitive, and accessible.”
The partnership extends beyond websites. For three years, Kitsap Bank has worked with SiteCrafting on SEO and Google Ads campaigns to keep their digital presence strong and effective.
At Kitsap Bank, community engagement, philanthropy, volunteerism, and sustainability form the foundation of who they are — and SiteCrafting helps bring these values to life online.
“The website is such a huge communication tool. It helps us share news and events from local partners such as food banks and highlight programs such as the Edg3 Fund. Community is a cornerstone of Kitsap Bank and SiteCrafting has helped us tell that story effectively,” said Silcott.
Whether rallying together during a pandemic, marking milestones, or staying ahead of customer needs, the partnership has crafted a digital experience that honors Kitsap Bank’s century-long story while keeping the bank fresh, accessible, and deeply connected to the community it serves.
