The Puyallup Tribal Health Authority (PTHA) has long served as a trusted provider of health and wellness services for the Puyallup Tribe and the Native community. Their mission, to provide quality care and promote wellness in a culturally appropriate way, guides every interaction, program and service.
Now, that mission is reflected online.
SiteCrafting partnered with PTHA to redesign and rebuild their website, creating a digital experience that’s accessible, intuitive and aligned with the organization’s values.
The new site connects tribal members with the care and services they need, whether they’re looking for a provider, exploring wellness programs or learning about health resources available to them.
“Our updated website reflects our commitment to excellence in healthcare, overall wellness, and culturally respectful care. By integrating basket-weave designs and Twulshootseed language, we honor and strengthen our cultural connection. The branding elements highlight our services while reflecting our identity and core values.” – Melissa Helm, Communications Manager, Puyallup Tribal Health Authority.
The previous website supported the organization through years of growth, but it wasn’t meeting the needs and expectations of its users. Navigation was challenging, content was difficult to find and the experience didn’t reflect PTHA’s brand or the depth of care they provide.
“The redesigned website makes it easier for visitors to find the information they need without contacting us,” said Melissa Helm, communications manager for the Puyallup Tribal Health Authority. “Clearer navigation, updated content and a more user-friendly layout help people connect with us more efficiently, whether they are looking for services, providers or department contact information.”
With clear pathways to information, a mobile-friendly layout and a strong focus on accessibility, the site empowers users to take action, whether that means calling a clinic, scheduling an appointment or learning about preventive care options.
The efficiency extends beyond the screen. Helm observed that the analytics show an increase in engagement on high-priority pages like Patient Services and Find a Provider.
“It seems more people are navigating to our Patients and Contact Us pages to find the information they need more easily.”
The site is also built for long-term sustainability. As part of the partnership, SiteCrafting is providing ongoing maintenance and support to help PTHA adapt to changing needs and continue serving their community with care.
For PTHA, the website isn’t just a communications platform; it’s a vital link between people and the services that support their health and wellness. We’re proud to support that connection.
