For some reason, the holiday spirit feels truly complete with a festive drink in hand. Whether it’s a flavored coffee, certain hot chocolate or my personal favorite I’m sharing with you today – an apple cider mimosa. I first had this at my hairstylist’s salon, and once I was done there I went straight to Trader Joe’s to remake it at home 🏃🏽♀️. I hope you all enjoy as much as I did, and now let’s jump in.
1. Gather ingredients
Getting started on this recipe is easy because it means I get to go to Trader Joe’s. What you’ll need are champagne and apple cider. Go with your own personal favorites or use the ones in the image. Best to have them chilled before using.
Optional: Also pick up some cinnamon and sugar if you don’t already have some handy to add pizzazz to your drink.
2. Make cinnamon and sugar mix
Skip this step if you don’t want sweetener on the glass. But I highly recommend for some extra flavor. Simply mix together 1 tablespoon of cinnamon with 2 tablespoons of sugar. Wet glass rim in water and dip into the mix!
3. Pour apple cider
Fill the glass about 1/2 – 2/3 of the way with apple cider. More or less depending on personal taste.
4. Top with champagne
Fill up the remainder of the glass with your champagne. And you’re done!
5. Cheers! 🥂
And your perfect apple cider mimosa is complete! I’ve seen variations of this where people do sprinkles or caramel on the rim. So there are many ways to tweak this holiday drink until it’s perfect for you. If you end up making this recipe, tag us on social media: @sitecrafting
